Una visión particular sobre la fotografía / A particular view on photography

• Mi nombre es Jaime Daniel Rocha Díaz soy heredero de una tradición centenaria de fotógrafos, retocadores, laboratoristas, que trabajaron en diferentes estudios en el centro de la ciudad de México, esto me ha permitido desarrollar una curiosidad sobre los orígenes de mi familia, su legado y el horizonte de posibilidades que se abren frente a mi dentro de este hermoso trabajo uno de los motivos que me atraen de la fotografía en blanco y negro es la opción de convertir un testimonio en una imagen que puede trascender el tiempo.

Para iniciar no debemos olvidar ser humildes y recordar que para aprender hay que imitar a grandes maestros, tal vez hacer una investigación exhaustiva de donde empezó la fotografía quiénes son sus principales representantes de cada época y ver con quien nos identificamos para seguir sus pasos.

• My name is Jaime Daniel Rocha Diaz and i am a heir to a centuries old tradition of photographers, retouchers, laboratorians, who worked at different studios in downtown Mexico City. This has allowed me to develop a curiosity about the origins of my family. The legacy and the horizon of possibilities open before me in this beautiful work are one of the reasons i'm attracted to the black and white photography is the option to convert a witness in an image that can transcend time.

To start we must not forget to be humble and remember that learning is to imitate great masters, maybe make a thorough investigation of where the picture started, who are the main representatives of each period and see who we identify to follow.
